Above-ground Horizontal Silo

This plan gives construction details for a tilt-up concrete horizontal silo designed for tractor packing. It can be built in any length and width multiples of 2.4 m (8 ft), with wall heights from 2.4 to 6.0 m (8 to 20 ft). The buttresses and wall panels are built with a minimum of forming because they are cast flat on the concrete floor slab and then lifted into position after curing.
