Fruit and Vegetable Storage Insulation

Image - Fruit and Vegetable Storage Insulation

This leaflet gives guidelines for selecting and installing insulation and suggestions for condensation control. One of three factors may determine how much insulation to use. These factors are:

  1. keeping the inside surfaces warm enough to control condensation and dripping in winter
  2. economics of winter supplemental heating versus insulation costs
  3. economics of summer refrigeration versus insulation costs

For most of Canada, winter condensation control requires the most insulation.
